Dr. Kastuk earned a Master’s and a PhD degree in psychology from York University in Canada, and in 1999 began work as a medical school professor. He also holds a Master’s of Science degree in Hyperbaric Medicine. Dr. Kastuk has been involved in a variety of research areas including research on the influence of sex hormones on brain function, decompression studies, as well as his dissertation area concerning the recovery of cognitive skills in the brain injured. Dr. Kastuk is also a certified professional SCUBA diving instructor, and holds various certifications in the field of first aid and emergency treatment.
