She worked for five years in Nepal and for a brief period in Gangtok, Sikkim. While in Nepal, in addition to teaching Pathology to MBBS students, she was instrumental in setting up the Diagnostic Cytology, Histopathology and Hematology sections. She successfully trained paramedical staff in handling specimens and samples.
She has attended several national and state level conferences, presented papers and has authored and co-authored several publications. Several post- graduate students (Residents) have completed their dissertations under her guidance. She is a life member of the Indian Association of Pathology & Microbiology, and Indian Association of Cytology , and member of the International Association of Cytology.
