Jorge A. Moreno is the Dean of the American International College of Arts and Sciences - Antigua and Professor of Biology. He comes to AUA from the University of Colorado, Boulder where he was Senior Instructor in Biology for the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EBIO) and the Farrand Academic Program. He also served as the Research Program Coordinator for the Minority Arts and Sciences Program of the College of Arts and Sciences.He was the lead scientist in herpetology for a Colorado State/Federal Government sponsored biodiversity assessment (BioBlitz) of sensitive grassland habitats and the Chief of the Terrestrial Ecology Section at the Puerto Rico Department of National Resources. In addition to his many published articles,Dr. Moreno is the co-author of “The Tangled Bank” (Volumes I and II), an introductory biology textbook .
